Frequently asked questions

AcademicVoice is privacy-first: no accounts, no advertising, no third-party tracking, and we never sell or share personal data. The School edition stores student data on your device and does not transmit it over the internet. The Pro and Clinician editions add optional features, such as AI word prediction, that send the current phrase to our secure prediction service to generate suggestions when you use them. Your data is stored locally on your device. We do not run our own backup of your data on EquaAccess™ servers. It is included in your device’s iCloud or iTunes backup only if you (or your IT administrator) have enabled device backup in iOS settings, a process Apple controls.
On-device data stored by AcademicVoice is removed when you uninstall the app. If you have enabled iCloud or device backup in iOS, a copy may remain in that backup under Apple’s control until you remove it.
AcademicVoice is built with accessibility as a core priority, including switch scanning, eye-gaze access, large text, high-contrast options, and support for reducing motion. The app is designed to work with VoiceOver, and we are expanding and refining VoiceOver support in upcoming updates. If you encounter any VoiceOver issues, please contact us so we can address them.
AcademicVoice requires iOS 26 or later, and is designed for iPad.
